What a pleasant surprise. I was utterly burned by The Hangover 2 and reluctant to go and see ‘Hangover for girls’ as this film is called through the grapevine. But here it is, a very funny, clever and heart-warming comedy about a bunch of girls and their misadventures before their friend’s wedding. The film derails into some slight cheesecake towards the end but wrapping up a comedy or a romcom has never been the strength of Hollywood now has it ? The cast is good and the chemistry works. Yes, there are some fart jokes, but at least it is a bunch of ladies this time, you don’t see that very often. I was pleasantly surprised by this and recommend to go see it with some friends or the girlfriend (or boyfriend). I rate it 4 1/2 starts (for what it is trying to be).
