Synopsis

When ex-cat burglar Bernice Rhodenbarr (Whoopi Goldberg) inadvertently witnesses a murder, she enlists help from her friends, wacko poodle-groomer Carl (Bob Goldthwait) and drunken floozie Frankie (Elizabeth Ruscio), to help solve the crime and prove Bernice’s innocence. Next thing you know, Bernice and her pals find themselves trying to outwit tough guys galore and two stupid cops (Anne DeSalvo and John Goodman) in this amiable caper comedy.

Hugh Wilson (born August 21, 1943) is an American director, writer and actor. He is best known as the creator and executive producer of the TV series WKRP in Cincinnati and Frank’s Place.

Hugh is a distinguished alumnus from the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He is currently a guest professor of Media Studies at the University of Virginia.
