Why would you remake Carrie? Why? Just freaking why? What was the purpose? Did it need to be "updated"? No, it didn't. Besides this being a terrible movie, I hate just because of the fact that it exists. Like the remakes of Psycho and Rear Window, this should have never been made. You WATCH De Palma films, you don't remake them. Idiots.

Since the original was presented almost as grand opera, it stands to reason this wallflower of a movie would disappoint.
