Charlie Chan: The Secret Service

Wily detective Charlie Chan (Sidney Toler) is sent to investigate the murder of a brilliant inventor who was likely killed in exchange for access to his classified project — a high-powered weapon designed to combat German U-boats. The framework and instructions on how to construct the device have been removed, and it’s up to Chan to find the killer and retrieve the valuable blueprint — before the weapon is used against his own country.
