One day I am going to have to be true to myself and lower you to a four. I'm not sure when or how this will come about and this may be hard to admit right now, but you know this will be good for the both of us.
Good dialogue, as is always true of Kevin Smith films, but I found this one rather unsatisfying. I loved that Mike Allred was involved as he is one of my favorite comic artists, and the character of Alyssa was great. I screamed in horror when she kissed Ben Affleck in the rain. I hated his love speech. I just found him awful.
Joey Lauren Adams annoyed the hell out of me. Ben Affleck got to play a wet mop. This kind of convinced me that I'm not much of a Kevin Smith fan.
Probably Smith's best film story and writing wise. Even though I still cite "Clerks" as my favorite.
Madman was a great comic. Seriously read that shit.
Not bad. I was expecting this film to really suck because of its reputation as one of the worst Criterions, but its actually pretty good: a comedy that has something to say, or at least tries.
Easily Kevin Smith's best and most honest film. Even if you hate the guy, I don't see how you can't like this one.
thats an awsome new still for a awsome film
Definitely one of smith's best. great movie.
You're all nuts... Kevin Smith's best film
I fail to understand what movie critics love about this film. It does not feel real and the raw language used makes it less mature rather than eclectic.
I actually think this might be the worst film I have seen
i thought everyone gave really good performances in this film and the film had a good flow and it's straightforwardness is refreshing and reminds me of that of woody allen films.
Worth seeing for Affleck's hair alone
this and Clerks to me are like Manhattan and Annie Hall, respectively
couldn't find a single thing i didn't love about this movie.
The film is interesting, the story a little bit too much NYC zone NYC only and the actors are good even Ben Affleck, Joey Lauren Adams and Jason Lee. But, after Terry Jones's The Life of Brian, it was the second movie unworthy to appear in the Criterion collection.
Smith's ode to comic books is a wonderful little movie about love and love lost. I'm not the biggest view askew fan, but this film is excellent. Even jay and silent bob's cameo is perfect. Just sit back and enjoy about two hours of great dialoque:) A fun film:)
