Citizens of the Future

A law was passed in 1942 by which a new type of school was established with the aim of giving untrained youths at the age of 15-18 years a chance of getting a certain training and skill at some profession as well as some cultural and social enlightenment. The film describes life at such schools and shows both manual training and the teaching of sociology and history. The background of the founding of the schools is the occupation with the black-out and with the contrast between Danes and Germans. –carlthdreyer.dk
