With his first two feature efforts, Fucking Åmål (1998) and Together (2000), Swedish filmmaker Lukas Moodysson earned a strong following for his acute, gentle sense of social satire and his remarkably well-drawn and sympathetic characters. Should have been released as a piece of video art in a Gallery instead of a cinema release. I admire it for what it is but Moodysson is better then this. thank god he got back on track with not so great but still linear Mammoth.
