Starring Jena Malone, Don Harvey and Peter McRobbie, this disturbing tale centers on a young mother-to-be concerned with the ramifications of genetically engineered food. The story begins as an unmarried pregnant woman, newly returned home, witnesses an environmental accident involving genetically engineered corn. As she investigates the accident, the woman confronts her own fears and beliefs and the potential toll of technology on humankind.
There are times when a movie is so poorly made and conceived that it actually adds a level of novelty and creepiness to it. That is the case here. It's also unintentionally funny. This is a bad movie for sure, but you might want to see it if you are just looking for something strange to watch. Imagine Erin Brokovich meets Rosemary's Baby directed by Ed Wood. That might give you an idea of how weird this movie is.
