Two distant cousins meet for the first time at a wedding banquet for an elderly couple. They both decide that they should see more of each other, and over time, a friendship develops. A charmingly goofy comedy featuring all manner of family escapades and a rather whimsical score. Perhaps inconsequential but nonetheless quite enjoyable. Marie-Christine Barrault is wonderful. (She is the reason I sought out this film to begin with after seeing her in Ma nuit chez Maud.)
totally arrhythmic but marie-christine barrault makes this worth watching by sheer virtue of her effortless, boundless charisma on screen. she is perfect.
