Crepuscule is a beautiful old word for dusk. Or maybe a little more than just dusk: the moment dusk becomes night. In the film the darkness reaches towards a young woman. Or better: a girl. A silent, supple and beautiful girl. She enters the city and the film, being introvert and inside herself. The film follows the girl closely. But alone in her room, she has no shame in front of the camera. She shows herself. She dances. In fact, she is stripping. She works as a gas-station attendant and nobody seems to notice her. She stays silent. But in spite of her silence, she is noticed by an older man of the sort that seems to be all over any city. Actor Titus Muizelaar embodies the threat without any problem. And also he does not need any words. In the end the dusk becomes darkness. The attractive jazzy music becomes more and more menacing and the city more disturbing.
