Charters and Caldicott cannot hold their own in this one. Still a fun extra to own on the wonderful THE LADY VANISHES Criterion release.

As a fan of both "The Lady Vanishes" and "Night Train to Munich", I thought a feature length adventure featuring Charters and Caldicott would be charming. But, those characters are wasted on this banal mystery-comedy, one that is severly light on laughs and suspense.
