Un fantastico film di genere, secondo il mio parere, che ha tutto ciò che una buona storia dovrebbe avere. Non manca di nulla.
I always have this feeling that without this film being made, we would of never gotten saw.
Amazing concept. So bad it's good acting. Ridiculous bad guy. No great conclusion or mystery. One of the few cult films that would do well as a well thought out remake.
The ideas displayed in here are pretty terrific, but the film overall suffers from a lack of budget for better actors and settings. It's still a pretty entertaining film, if hammy near the end.
Amazing experience in cinematography. It's really essential. Must see! Psychological horror.
What I like to call a "concept over content" film though this one is by far superior than most. Maybe I was just in for a simplistic plot with half-way OK acting from mostly unrecognizable talent with a precursory knowledge of gesture and reaction. There is little denying he made a mark as his debut made quite the rounds internationally which lead him to Splice (where you like it or not) and that's big cinema.
Well the performances were pretty poor, but that took nothing away from the intriguing concept - a pretty interesting piece that is both terribly complex and ridiculously simple. 3/5.
Saw it for the third time and again it felt like i've watched a short film or something. The idea is great, the acting is bad, but for that budget it's a masterpiece.
I appreciated CUBE 10 years ago and appreciated it again last night after having seen the two other movies directed by Vincenzo Natali since : CYPHER and NOTHING. This film represents exactly what I liked in movies in the first place : a smart and original screenplay, enough meat around the bones to make my little brain cells boil a little, 90 minutes I won’t regret to have spent there considering the fact that I’m growing older and older. A little masterpiece.
Really cool idea and sweet and minimalistic execution brought to staggering halts throughout by terrible dialogue and acting. Awesome opening.
Great idea, and quite nice realization of it too. Some small cliches but all in all very whatchable and really a movie that keeps you on the edge through the whole story.
Indie, claustrophobic, oppressive, mystic and thought provoking thriller with great twists. Like an episode of the Twilight Zone.
