Ousmane William Mbaye

Born in Paris in 1952.

He is the son of the Senegalese writer and cultural leader Annette Mbaye d’Erneville.

Ousmane William Mbaye studied at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinema and later attended University of Paris VIII Vincennes. He learned all aspects of film and then started directing films in Senegal. From 1990 to 1997, he coordinated the Film Festival Dakar (Recidak). —africultures
