Blending the old and the new in animations, this wordless look at perspectives is one of Pixar's best short films.
Breathtaking. Poetry in motion
This clever but curiously old-fashioned film from Pixar is an homage to the rivalry cartoons of the days of Tom & Jerry and Road Runner and Wylie Coyote. It's a lovely if slight Oscar nominee.
amazing homenage to cartoon animation.
they played this just before toy story 3 at the cinema great little short.
This reminds me of a happier more optimistic idea of Richard Williams' THE LITTLE ISLAND, only a lot more technically proficient, whereas the message is cliché and predictable here, whereas ISLAND is a lot more insightful....
Despite only seeing it in 2D, this was the most clever, most surprising and possibly best Pixar short so far.
one of the best (if not the best) Pixar's short movie, ever.
the dot and the line: a romance in lower mathematics for the pixar generation.
I totally agree about the radio, Polaris. That's why I went with 3 stars.
I'm torn. This is the single most original use of 3D animation I've yet seen (purposefully using 2D? Effin' crazy!), and yet they threw the whole story away with the radio quote making everything so damned.... obvious and sentimental. Surely there was some other reveal they could have used to present the same message?
