Dead Man's Hand

In this little tale about confusion, consumption and guilt, Jean (Albert Dupontel) works as a bailiff. He is strict about his job and takes it seriously, despite stretching the rules from time to time with his accomplice, Georges (Serge Larivière). His beautiful wife, Nicole (Marie Trintignant), who is a compulsive buyer spending his hard-earned money, is having an affair with Georges, who is debt-ridden and addicted to tele-shopping. Life turns into a nightmare for Jean when he is set up in the company of Eddy (Bouli Lanners), a clumsy yet compassionate cop.
