Synopsis

Paul Williams directed this interesting time-capsule essay on the way people back then lived on the fringe of the drug culture. The lead, Lyons, is fairly ho-hum but future promise can be detected in the performance of Lithgow as a snobby Harvard student who goes to Berkeley to purchase marijuana to transport back to the Ivy League. Hershey plays the hippie with whom he falls in love. —TVguide.com
