Know your place! British comedy in its most comfortable pair of slippers: seemingly innocuous, inoffensive and innocent – which it is on some levels – but perniciously middle-brow in its complacent view of the world. All’s well, so long as you don’t step outside. Status quo maintained and cast in tasteful formaldehyde.
