Mário Barroso

Born in Lisbon 1947. Studied at INSAS (Brussels) Directing and Theatre. Completed his degreed at I.D.H.E.C. (Institut des Hautes Etudes Cinématographiques) with distinction (Direction and Photography -1973/76).

He is also an awarded photography director, internationally and nationally. Collaborated on the films of, among others, Manoel de Oliveira, João César Monteiro, Raúl Ruiz and Jean-Claude Biette.
