I disagree. I think it adds a lot to the issue at hand and the issue that this film deals with.

Ao redor dA BELA QUE DORME, orbita muitas vidas e muitas camas: Homens e mulheres, pai e filha, mãe e filho, crente e ateu, médico e paciente. Tudo sobre a cama, alguns no sofá, outros no divã. Enfim, para descrever uma Itália que repousa unida pela pergunta: “Como e porque viver?” Difícil dizer. Parece que o país dorme com a consciência pesada. Não Bellocchio: Esse é ligeiro e desperto. Atento ao mundo que filma.
