Down Three Dark Streets

Produced in quasi-documentary style, this vintage crime thriller stars Broderick Crawford as FBI Agent John Ripley. When fellow G-man Zack Stewart is murdered, Ripley takes over the trio of cases Stewart had been working on. Also seeking to identify his colleague’s killer, Ripley begins to suspect that an extortion case involving widow Kate Martell (Ruth Roman) is the key to Stewart’s death — and possibly the other cases.
