Synopsis

After proving his toughness by defeating a slew of cowboys, Chinese immigrant Chin How (Chen Lee) — aka Shanghai Joe — lands a job working for rich rancher Spencer (Piero Lulli). But when Chin realizes that Spencer is taking advantage of poor Mexican farmers, his boss becomes his new enemy. Set in Texas, this spaghetti Western-kung fu hybrid also stars Klaus Kinski and Claudio Undari.

Mario Caiano

Mario Caiano (born February 13, 1933) is an Italian film director, screenwriter and second unit director.

Born in Rome, he has directed for nearly 50 films since 1961 and 27 films and TV scripts since 1954.

He is known for his work on horror films. Caiano directed (as Allen Grünewald) and wrote the script for Nightmare Castle (Amanti d’oltretomba, 1965), which stars Barbara Steele. Eye in the Labyrinth (1972) is a later film in the genre. —Wikipedia

The image and the date are not from this film and I think Mubi might be mixing it up with its sequel. Dragon Strikes Back is actually a 1972 film also know as The Fighting Fists of Shanghai Joe or To Kill and Die. Its sequel, the Return of Shanghai Joe stared Ernest Van-Mohr in the title role, replacing Chen Lee. Kinski features as different characters in both.
