Everyone puts on a good show, and it's got some great ideas, but the tonal shifts really got to me after a while. Is this a teenager fantasy adventure? Or a dark political thriller?
This is a really great and underrated film from 1984. Cast is pretty great (minus Kate Capshaw) especially Christopher Plummer who plays a pretty great bad guy. Nice direction by Joseph Ruben, especially with the dream sequences, very cool and well done. You can kinda see where Inception came from too, watch this film, its pretty great.
