The premise is stupid, and the whole movie is scissorhands and doesn't know where to go after that.
I cannot forget when i was began to attracted to watch movies. I dont even get bored to watch this since i was a kid...
Burton's funny and moving take on Frankenstein, with an unforgettable Danny Elfman score. Pure magic.
It's fascinating, adorable,i could watch all the time, just another Tim Burton's masterpiece.
This film is something special. No matter how many times I have seen it, when I see it again it feels like I am watching it for the first time. Tim Burton's masterpiece.
I don't give a shit about the fact that Burton became the ultimate "reference" for wasted youth teens, wearing black and white stripes jeans and black lipstick, but this film is just wonderful. I cried the first time I saw it when I was a kid, and I'll always enjoy the simplicity of the plot and the beauty of its characters. I don't think Burton will ever do better than this one. Masterpiece.
One of Burton's best films that doesn't get overpowered by its imagery. Beautufully designed and well framed by the "fairytale" structure. Vincent Price just perfect in his final appearance with great turns by Wiest, Arkin and Baker. Winona Ryder well cast against Depp here. Kudos to Caroline Thompson, Danny Elfman and Bo Welch and to the rest of the creative team.
3 stelle, di cui almeno la metà solo per i colori pastello disseminati ovunque. E peccato che le musiche non le abbia fatte Robert Smith come doveva essere.
Oh the magic that used to be tim burton. Remember when he could make creepy, warm hearted, beautifuly charming movies? this and beetlejuice are amongst the best along with his all defining batman 1 and 2. Sad to see him now since planet of the apes producing studio garbage. also mediocre while wonderfull in this and other 1980-90 work has been elfmans scorework. one director id love to see have a genuine comeback.
I was going to give this a 4, but I gave it a 5 for the reason that I can watch this a thousand times a day and still not be tired of it.
