As far as I know, I feel that most of the Charlton Heston movies I’ve seen have had religious themes. I don’t know if it’s a bad thing or not, but as long as I’m entertained, who cares? With Heston around, he makes El Cid a different kind of Spartacus. In a way, what you see is what you get. Out of all the good stuff, not only do you get Moses, but you also get the extras, cinematography, and visuals worthy of a David Lean epic. Trust me; once you see it, you’ll know why Scorcese loved it so much.
