Everything in its Place is a short documentary realized by Fabrica about the Guinness-award-winning Italian collector Alessandro Benedetti, owner of thousands of vinyl records from artists such as Pink Floyd, Queen, the Beatles, Prince, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Bon Jovi and many others. This video gives an insight into rare and valuable vinyl records which run the gamut from gold, transparent or painted to those shaped like a map, butterfly, heart, star, or even a tree! This amazing collection brought to the realization of the book called Colors Extraordinary Records, realized by Colors and TASCHEN, available from mid May 2009.
The video belongs to the Unique Trades collection, a set of documentaries depicting obsessions and trades on the fringe of existence. These intimate portraits capture committed individuals, striving undeterred in their obsolete worlds. Unique Trades are produced by Fabrica and directed by the british Fabrica resident Alex Healey. –fabrica.it
