the best part of this film was the jab about the PE teacher being a social democrat and then his subsequent betrayal. but i watched this as a political satire.

One of the finest Swedish film I've seen. Although honestly I haven't seen that many of their works but I surely will. And oh! I really admire the bravery in him.

The soul of "Evil" is divided equally between a sunny made-for-television morality tale and a gritty, violent story of responsibility and standing up against what one perceives as unjust. The period is crafted wonderfully, with a devious enemy and a righteous (albeit rough) lead. It's always a satisfying watch.

In my opinion, this film is the best, when it comes to illustrating the 'turning the other cheek' phrase.
