Synopsis

When her teenage son takes a powder, former party girl Collette Andrews (Nastassja Kinski) cons two old flames — would-be writer Dale Putley (Robin Williams) and uptight attorney Jack Lawrence (Billy Crystal) — into searching for the 16-year-old by telling each man that he’s the boy’s father. Starting from different points, Jack and Dale ultimately join forces on a wacky pursuit that wends from San Francisco to Sacramento to Reno, Nev.
