It is the end of a meal. Eight persons are gathered around a table: they evoke the memory of a disappeared friend. Through the stories of each about the absentee, his characteristics, his manias or expressions, a portrait is outlined. —Aurora Films

Helped by a wonderfully written script, with perfectly defined characters Mréjen introduces you to everyone around the table and to their now gone friend Edouard to the point you laugh as if you were there, drinking the same tea and eating the same apples. All these emotions built up to be brought down with such an elegance at the end of the film. -
