I like cheetos.
Totally fun, totally unrealistic script. Travolta is OVER THE TOP in my favorite performance since Pulp Fiction. Get out the popcorn, people!!!
Dialogue and plot have little to do with the wiring of this thrill ride: Travolta's two-dimensional bad-ass anti-hero ignites the show, setting off a constant barrage of action-embracive set pieces that propel it into cinematic spectacle. A well-timed, unsuspecting plot twist spins the story into overdrive. From Paris is not fresh, and it's not particularly close to the best of its genre, but its fun nonetheless.
sooooooooooooo fucking horrible. its not even fun or funny in a boondock saints just enjoy it type of way. this is a cinematic bag of cheetos
You may like Cheetos sir, but its nutritional value amounts to doing more bad than good. Just like this movie. It is digested much too quickly, it is far more formulaic than it is unconventional, it leaves you wanting more after you've finished because it didn't provide a sufficient amount, it makes you feel cheated if you were looking for something valuable, there is never much variation in quality, you have to lick your fingers afterwards... I could go on for a while.
All self righteous pretentious assholes below who are complaining about this movies racism can go suck an egg or watch one of the other movies from their favorite films list which, unbeknownst to them, is racially insensitive. Does this movie have racial stereotypes? Absolutely...but it's in jest and there is no serious justification for racism to be found...Very entertaining film.
This was the absolute WORST. Luc Besson. wtf, man? Mindless "international spy" junk, but with added racism and predictability. Travolta looks like a broke-ass Bruce Willis here.
The general idea had promise, but the movie turned out to be pretty horrible. Was expecting much more from the Pierre Morel/Luc Besson combo.
Garbage movie. The action was dull, Jon Travolta was playing an unintentionally funny character that made no sense, and the story pretty much sucked. I can't really think of one exceptional thing to say about the movie.
An ok film, but Pierre Morel's others were more exciting and innovative.
