Like Anna Magnani in Italy and Brigitte Bardot in France, Marilyn Monroe shined in every frame she was in. She was a real star and it's always a pleasure to see her in the thirty or so movies she took part in. In Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, she is radiant under Howard Hawks' direction. Masterpiece.

I hadn't seen this one in years, so decided to watch it again in full. I loved how fun it was. Jane Russell's scenes are my favourite <3

La lógica mas pura de la filosofía "Hawksiana": la mujer lo irrumpe todo, lo consigue todo, lo destruye todo. El capricho es poder y el mundo entero las prefiere no solo rubias, sino solo "Marilyn". Lo demas, pura y completa abstracción.

It's pretty fun, but far away from being one of Hawk's best. For the record, I personally prefer Jane Russell.
