This frame is definitely not from the movie, which is disappointing because there is a lot of beautiful ‘shots’ (idk what you call anime frames) to be seen. Speaking of which, who decides what frames to put up? There are some criminally bad choices for a lot of films here.
But back on topic, this film is one of the only times i can say “Cyberpunk theme” without a tinge of cynicism. Very intelligent and inquisitive, showing the classic search for meaning in a futuristic setting. I wish they made a distinction between ghosts, androids, and all that, because without a background with the novel or similar themes it can take a bit to figure out.

This was not my first Japanese-anime..but it is in the top 5. Great story line, great idea and very well thought out themes regarding techno-cyberpunk of today and implementing it with tomorrow’s (wow-what if) techno standards of the future. Mamoru also tried his hand of mixing live action Counter- Strike meets Matrix in a dys-topian dark and grey colored movie with French and American actors..what came out of this egg was called “Avalon”. I kept skipping ahead during the movie in the hopes i might see/hear something that peeked my interest. My opinion of Avalon!?!? Like I always say: Whats good for the Goose, my not be good for the Rooster!! I’m a Rooster, but hey..maybe you’re the Goose and you’ll maybe lyou’ll like it!!
