Filmic insert to Eisenstein’s modernized, free adaptation of Alexander Ostrovsky’s comedy play ‘Enough Stupidity in Every Wise Man’ (1868), which he renamed ‘The Wise Man’. The film is composed of three parts which were screened at different moments of the play.
