Synopsis

Kuno Becker reprises his role as rising soccer star Santiago Munez in the second installment of the Goal! trilogy, which features footballer David Beckham and most of the cast from the original film. After gaining skills and considerable prominence as part of the Newcastle United team, Santiago gets his big break when he’s transferred to the Real Madrid soccer club. But more importantly, he’s now closer than ever to playing for the World Cup.

Jaume Collet-Serra (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈʒawmə kuˈʎɛt ˈsɛrə]) (born March 23, 1974 in Sant Iscle de Vallalta, Spain) is a Catalan film director and producer. Collet-Serra is most famous for the 2005 remake House of Wax, and 2009’s Orphan. In 2011 he directed drama-thriller Unknown which opened at #1 at the box office.

Growing up in Barcelona, filmmaker Collet-Serra always found himself watching the American movies that played at the local theater. In an interview he said: “I grew up learning a lot about American culture from the movies I watched. “That’s why now I can make American movies for American audiences.”. His love for movies led him to attend film school at Columbia College in Los Angeles in the early 90s. Soon after graduating, Collet-Serra began his career as an editor before moving on to direct music videos and television commercials for companies such as PlayStation, Budweiser, and Verizon.
