Synopsis

In the ‘new’ South Africa, women are assuming the lead role in their life and thus fighting against the gender based violence, they are reviving the pacifist, non-hetero-normative, ‘matriarchal’ society of the pre-colonial era. In doing so, they are creating a subtle decolonization of art, history, society and the land. A portrait of contemporary goddesses. –IMDb

Thank you. What a beautiful and sad film. Cuts through all the intellectual waffle we tend to cloak racism and gender discrimination in. Why is this not on mainstream TV?

the film was refused by all the TV. most of them argued there no schedule for it, it's too long, there is no voice over, among other fool reasons. if the film empower women, the TV keep people fool. Nothing new... Sylvie Cachin

Englightening, powerful stories of women. They will face numerous obstacles but their continuing work will spread and enable other women to have their rightful place as part of society.
