If only all movies had this much heart.

Incredibly well-acted, cast, directed, shot, and structured film. Deeply moving and effective.

Wow, finally! I could definitely see the promise in Man Push Cart and Chop Shop, but I didn't enjoy either of them. But this one worked for me all the way. Incredible performances by the two leads, fantastic story, nice cinematography, perfect ending. I'll say it again: wow.

The best Independent American film I've ever seen. Souleymane Sy Savane and Red West are perfect in their roles and the two have a great chemistry on screen.

We did it! Sidenote: why hasn't anyone else used the digital camera rigs Ramin Bahrani uses? The clarity is smooth like butter.

Can someone help me comment spam this box so Drew Kelly's comment doesn't completely spoil a major plot point for anyone else. Thanks Drew Kelly. Thanks a bunch. >:|

Watching William walk up the mountain slowly being obscured by the trees to his death, gave me chills. That was the most powerful image I've seen in a while.

This movie did absolutely nothing for me. It was too implausible in the connections between its characters, and it had an absolutely flat ending.

This one is of course not as realistic as Chop Shop but somehow i find it very poetic...

Where does your hope spring forth from, Solo? How does your joy carry on? Why do you smile at the face of despair? Why does your hope carry on?

Probably the best movie I've seen in 2008. Following Man Push Cart (2005) and Chop Shop (2007) Ramin Bahrani once again proves himself to be among the most talented directors working today.
