Greased Lightning

Richard Pryor gives a critically acclaimed performance as real-life driver Wendell Scott in this action comedy about the first black competitor to break the color barrier in the stock-car racing circuit after World War II. Aided by his Southern friend Hutch (Beau Bridges), Wendell drives fast and furious, determined not to let racism slow him down. Along the way, Wendell is supported by his lovely wife (Pam Grier).
