A hilarious black comedy from Richard Glatzer (The Fluffer), Grief is an engaging and satirical look at the frenzied professional and romantic antics amidst the staff of The Love Judge, a daytime TV show. Craig Chester (Kiss Me Guido, Swoon) stars as Mark, the show’s writer, who must contend with office politics, loony coworkers, a crush on the wrong guy and his lover’s recent death. Jackie Beat, in a Divine-esque performance, is Jo, the show’s overly maternal and controlling producer; Illeana Douglas (Dummy, Ghost World) is her overworked assistant who wants to be a writer; and gay cult star Alexis Arquette (I Think I Do, The Trip) plays a bisexual employee involved in a top-secret office romance. While outlandish characters do courtroom battle in front of the camera, they don’t even begin to compare to the shenanigans that are happening backstage. –TLA Releasing
