After washing up on an empty Cuban beach in the wake of a storm, Ali (Rupert Evans) soon meets and falls for the beautiful dancer Manuela (Natalia Verbeke). But as their relationship flowers, Ali’s past — he was an escapee from Guantanamo — catches up with him. Derek Jacobi co-stars as the mysterious jealous expat Guido in this moody exploration of crime and punishment by writer-director Vicente Peñarrocha.
