Two black’s gloved hands are busy making a cake. Step by step, the cake becomes an architectural ascending pastry with multiple traditional decorative details of sweet. Soon, the euphoria turn into an ornamental fury provoking the collapse of the room.
This piece was originally screened as part of an Hors Piste audio-visual installation in the Centre Pompidou, Paris.
The case of the music ruining everything, I was loving "Happy Good" until the theme from the Electric Light Parad from Disneyland came on, absolutely ruined it, brought back such bad memories... of S. California, those years and the plasticity of that parade and in a larger sense, emblematic of plasiticity of that entire culture. Yukk! It ruined it.
