Hard Country

The hard-partying antics of small-town factory worker Kyle (Jan-Michael Vincent) grow tiresome for his girlfriend, Jodie (Kim Basinger), who increasingly feels the tug of the big city, especially after her friend, Caroline (Tanya Tucker), becomes a music star in California. Oscar-winner Basinger makes an auspicious film debut in this overlooked gem of a drama, featuring strong performances and a great country music soundtrack.
