The ending wasnt that bad but i understand some people not liking it,still awaesome movie
A great slasher-gem with both balls, gore and tension to spare. Cecile DeFrance, who plays the protagonist, goes beyond the call of duty for this type of movie and gives a riveting performance. I just wished people would stop complaining about the ending. I´d rather have this ending, which is implausible but works in favour of the movie keeping the tension, than a boring and predictable one. Recommended!
Pretty damn good until the completely unnecessary twist ending. A real shame because Aja clearly has talent and an eye for the genre.
Movie goes from a 5 star horror movie to a 1 star movie as soon as we hit the awful twist. Too bad.
It worked as a horror/gore flick up until they tried to give the plot a "twist". Absolutely garbage-crap-terrible-shit-shameful-cliche ending.

The direction is stellar and so are its gory bits. The plot is what kills(no pun intended) the film's cool and it has an ending that just doesn't work.
The final twist makes no sense, it's not plausible at all. It totally ruins a movie that was until then quite good.
Honestly this is the scariest and disturbing movie I've seen, yet a beautiful story, if you are into gore stuff, this is for you.
High Tension is an incredible horror movie it takes alot to scare me and this movie certainly gave me a shocker!
Tyler, you summed up my thoughts. I was expecting to like this very much but it didn't seem to have any story, lacked any type of tension, and the "twist" didn't even make sense if you go back and rewatch the film (the main character's actions aren't plausible given the twist). Yeah, the gore great, cool. But that's all that I got out of it.
Its a decent flick. They did a poor job of making their stories match up accurately in the end, though.
The movie is a satisfying slasher until it gets to the inexplicable and unnecessary twist, which literally ruins the movie.
