Synopsis

“If I had one wish, I would wish for your son to come back,” says an oily political consultant to the mother of a dead soldier. He should have kept his mouth shut… This political satire from Dante sees dead veterans crawl out of their graves as zombies and shamble to the polling booth, to vote out the president who sent them to fight a war based on lies and greed.

Enjoying total creative freedom under the banner of the landmark Masters of Horror TV series (aired in the US by Showtime), this is one of Dante’s most ferociously pointed satires. Loosely based by screenwriter Sam Hamm on Dale Bailey’s 2002 short story ‘Death and Suffrage’. —MIFF
