House Calls

Middle-aged widower Dr. Charley Nichols (Walter Matthau) treads the scary waters of the dating scene and tries to be a suave swinger — but feels more like a fish out of water in this hilarious comedy. Yet his luck changes when he meets divorcée Ann (Glenda Jackson). The two engage in a comical courtship in which neither will commit to a serious relationship. At the same time, Charley butts heads with a fellow doctor (Art Carney).
