Of the numerous films that I saw for the first time in university film courses, this was a major highlight. The actual title is “I Love a Man in Uniform”. It’s a dark Canadian gem with an outstanding performance from Tom McCamus. I’ve wanted to own this on DVD/Blu-ray ever since that first viewing (there is no such thing unfortunately. There was a brief DVD release that went OOP almost immediately, but even that edition was apparently heavily edited/butchered – a damn shame). I know it aired on a Canadian HD movie channel once or twice a few years ago, which I should have recorded. Some company really needs to step up an make this great film more readily available for the masses.
