If I'm Lucky

Singing greats Carmen Miranda and Perry Como star in this 1946 musical in which an entertainer (Como) gets corralled into running for governor and turns his stump speeches into all-out musical revues with the help of a few talented performer friends. In her ironic yet somehow believable casting as Irish lass Michelle O’Toole, Miranda’s crooning and showmanship is at its most memorable. Vivian Blaine and Harry James co-star.
