Synopsis

The newly purchased country home of young couple Santiago and Elisa, and their little child, soon turns into a disturbing place. The house, rural environment, surrounding emptiness and neighbours all make Elisa uneasy. She worries continuously over every noise at night, every unexpected visit and unforeseeable event. Even Santiago and Elisa’s love life is strained by the new situation. Not only is the balance of their relationship destabilized, but also that of Elisa’s mind, as she worries more and more for the safety of her child within this context of events, people, animals, and sudden mood swings. –Venice Critics’ Week
