As interesting as the concept may be, the execution never exceeds a surface-level realization of global economy or social injustice. It's laughable how blatantly obvious and overly simplistic the film uses its material. Time-as-currency is certainly a very morbid, dystopic situation that speaks volumes about our current situation. It's a shame the director made it so painfully elementary.
