It takes a woman to paint love and compassion towards the surface of film reel, and at the same time it also takes a woman to set the image on fire with depression. One of the greatest film about woman, family, and discovery on one full bowl. “That ending” is not the major reason why l adore this picture (even though it’s tempting to say so), it’s actually the path to that certain truth that both the mother and her child taken separately that blows me away. It was harrowing and mournful, an emotional feast that set your heart and your sense of discovery on fire. and yeah you can call me sick freak or anything, but there’s no “disgust” in my vocabulary of this film if you looking for one, It felt beautiful and reassuring actually, at least for me..in the end..

Completely brilliant, inexplicably mind-blowing, and compassionately told. Really the task of explaining this film to someone is daunting. On the surface it is about two siblings who are given the shocking task of hunting down their lost brother and their father whom they believe is dead. It’s a fairly straight forward detective flick right? Wrong. Oh so wrong. Incendies will take you for a cinematic experience unlike any I have seen. It captivates you with jaw-dropping cinematography, intense plot twists, mesmerizing acting, and ultimately one of the most satisfying endings to a thriller ever made. Prepare yourself for a story that will convict you with introspective looks at humanity, war, and religion. And then sit back and allow this film to resonate with you with it’s riveting and audacious characters. It is an example of filmmaking at it’s best.
