Folks, I came across this program called JCopia (http://www.jiteco.com/jcopia.html), that seems to do just the trick. It is an actual stream grabber, so no encoding of the display. Works like a charm on a non-standard site I visited, that has a video that was deployed through a custom flash front-end. I was surprisingly impressed. The software even has a free-trial period. May it be of use to some of you guys too.

The kind of movie you "discover" while looking for something to watch while lying sleepless in a hotel room at 2 a.m on channels like TNT, F.X. or TBS. It is, however a movie you watch because it's incredibly interesting, and not because you're bored.

Unique and thought-provoking
