I didn't like this much at all. However it was worth sitting through, just so I could see that ending.
One of the most effective and justifiable remakes I've seen, some of the images are well past the WTF-meter and have held finely over the years, add to that the always charming Donald Sutherland and the great supporting cast (especially Leonard Nimoy) and you have a winner.
The film starts promisingly with slowly building conformist nightmare, but eventually loses it when Kaufman starts to think he really is making a monster movie to scare some teenagers.
My fave of the Boday Snactchers movies. For movie buffs like me this is mana from heaven with cameos from Robert Duavall and Don Siegel and Phil Kufmans Deft touch
Donald Sutherland looks horrified that The Auteurs chose that screen shot. But seriously, great film with an incredible cast, one of the best remakes ever and my favourite adaptation of the Body Snatchers plot.
